Terrill Landscape Contracting, Terrill Concrete and DG2 Design Awarded Best Booth at this year’s 2014 Wildwood BBQ Bash
Terrill Landscape, Terrill Concrete, and DG2 Design, members of the Wildwood community wanted to get more involved in an activity that supported both community and community business with a little fun to boot. We chose the Wildwood BBQ Bash not only for the food and fun, but because it’s the largest community event of its kind in the St. Louis area. The Wildwood BBQ Bash is a BBQ competition with categories such as; Grand Champion, Reserve Champion, Peoples Choice, Chefs Choice, Brisket, Chicken, Chili, Pork Steak, Ribs, Bloody Mary, Margarita, Desserts and the coveted Best Booth. The event draws thousands of visitors, spectators and hundreds of competitors from all over the Metro area. Terrill Landscape & Concrete has been involved with the bash since 2010 and DG2 design came on as a partner in 2013. Wanting to take on a bigger role in the festival and community, we chose to be a sponsor of the event this year. By being a sponsor we were able to support our community and play a vital role in making the event the biggest and best it has ever been.
For the past three years we have been building bigger and better displays and this year was no different. We put together a faux patio of epic proportions; a 40’x20’ display complete with paver and stamped concrete patios, rustic wood pergola, Belgard Weston freestanding and seating walls, columns with stained concrete caps, built in BBQ pit with colored concrete counter tops, Vista landscape lighting, and to top it off a custom built natural stone gas fire pit with stamped concrete cap. DG2 Design was responsible for the actual design of the booth and Terrill did what it does best, turned a design into a real luxury outdoor living space! Did I mention that we only had 2 days to set it up?
The impressive outdoor living display did not go unnoticed. We won “Best Booth” and took home the Trophy! The Best Booth award is judged on design, creativity, and cleanness during the two day event and over a hundred booths are in contention. It was a great honor receiving the trophy from the community, meeting new people and visiting with old friends. What a way to top off a beautiful, tasty, and fun weekend. We had people come by the booth just to see what we had done different this year. What an honor!
We hope to see everyone next year and be sure visit us on facebook or check us out on our websites. www.terrilllandscape.com www.terrillconcrete.com www.dg2design.com
